Located right on the water in Heath, Texas, our setting is unlike any other program in the area. The lake, the land, and the outdoors are intentionally built into our daily classroom.

Faith and character are not a subject here. They are the foundation everything is built upon. We are a Christian values community where belief shapes the way we learn, the way we treat each other, and the way we grow.
Community first
Canopy Learning Collective exists to cultivate a love of learning through hands-on, nature-connected experiences. We partner with homeschooling families to provide an enriching environment that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and character.
Childhood, As It Was Meant to Be
At Canopy, we believe childhood should be unhurried, friendships should be meaningful, and learning should inspire wonder. We are intentionally cultivating a place where children can explore deeply, spend time outdoors, build confidence, and experience the joy of learning alongside others.
A Vision for Heath Families
Canopy Learning Collective was founded by Stefnie Howley, a Heath mom who has spent more than 15 years building brands at Fortune 30 companies before deciding the most important thing she could build was something for her own community.
As a veteran Homeschooler, Stefnie has experienced education from every angle: public school, private school, and ultimately homeschool. That journey, combined with a deep love for this community, inspired the creation of something Heath did not yet have — true homeschool collective where families belong.
After navigating every corner of education for her four daughters, public school, private school, and ultimately homeschool, she kept coming back to the same vision. A place where Heath families could learn together, grow together, and belong together. A place where the outdoors is not a field trip but a daily part of life. Where nature is not a backdrop but the classroom itself.
That vision became Canopy Learning Collective.
